The concept
The Pilates Reformer is a method of exercise based on resistance and movement control, using a specific piece of equipment called the Reformer. By combining precise movements with conscious breathing, the Pilates Reformer strengthens deep muscles, improves flexibility and promotes better posture.
Beyond the physical benefits, this practice also promotes focus and the mind-body connection, providing a complete workout for holistic well-being.
Equipment
The Reformer is a sophisticated machine equipped with adjustable springs and a sliding carriage, providing variable resistance for a full-body workout.
The exercises performed with this machine aim to strengthen the following areas:
- Abdominals and back muscles
- Upper limbs: arms, shoulders, and chest
- Lower limbs: legs, glutes and hips
- Stabilization of the trunk and improvement of posture
Please note, showers are not always accessible before and after Reformer Pilates classes.
